PriceWatch JP ("we") treats user privacy as a top priority and handles personal data per the policy below.
1. Information we collect
We collect only: the email used for authentication, request identifiers, the URLs / ASINs / Rakuten item codes / Yahoo! item codes you choose to track, observed prices and timestamps, saved alert settings, and subscription state. We never store browsing history, purchase history, or card numbers (payments are completed inside Stripe).
2. How we use information
We use the data only to operate the service, render price-history charts, send drop alerts, process subscriptions, detect abuse, and provide support. We never sell or share data for advertising.
3. Affiliate disclosure
PriceWatch JP participates in the Amazon Associates Program, Rakuten Affiliate Program, and Yahoo! Shopping (ValueCommerce). We may earn commissions from qualifying purchases via outbound product links. Affiliate participation never alters displayed prices, rankings, or buy-timing verdicts.
4. Price data retention
Price observations are retained up to 5,000 points per product. The Free tier surfaces the last 30 days; Premium surfaces the full range. Alert settings use soft-delete and the audit trail is preserved.
5. Third-party processors
We rely on Supabase (auth + DB), Stripe (payments incl. Stripe Tax), Resend (email), Sentry (error reporting), PostHog (product analytics with PII anonymisation), and Anthropic (AI inference). Each provider is contractually bound by our DPA.
6. Cookies and local storage
We set: NEXT_LOCALE (language preference), Supabase auth cookies (session), and PostHog identifier (anonymous analytics). A consent banner is shown when GDPR applies.
7. Children under 13
The service is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such data, we delete it promptly.
8. Access / correction / deletion requests
To exercise access, correction, or deletion rights, email support@hakokit.com with proof of identity. We respond within 30 days.
9. Policy updates
Material changes to this policy are notified at least 30 days in advance by email and in-app notice.
